Who we are
From local trading house to international business
Balagam International was initially established to source premium-grade pulses for the Pakistani market. Its early sourcing activities included China, and over the years the company expanded its supplier network to multiple international markets.
What began as a local trading house gradually developed into an international trading business involved in imports, exports, indenting and inland trading.
Today, the company works with international suppliers, Pakistani buyers, overseas customers and trading houses.

From local trade to global markets
- 01
2005: Establishment
Established with an initial focus on sourcing premium-grade pulses for Pakistan.
- 02
Early sourcing
Sourced agricultural commodities from China and operated as a local trading house.
- 03
Into imports
Expanded into direct imports, and began arranging imports for other Pakistani buyers.
- 04
Into exports
Entered exports shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, starting with feed products for GCC markets.
- 05
New markets
Exports expanded to Vietnam and Sri Lanka, followed by rice to Rotterdam, the United Kingdom and Banjul, and sesame to China, Europe and the Middle East.
